David Van Ingram bean teach English when he was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Sultanate of Oman. His experience in Oman provided a very positive introduction to teaching and marked the beginning of his career in the Middle East.

Mr. Ingram is currently on staff of ESL Institute at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The program at the Institute include students from Argentina, Brazil, China, Columbia, Japan, Korea, Peru, Russia, Senegal, Turkey, Venezuela and Vietnam. David’s experience and observations over the years led him to compile this workbook. The exercises will be useful to any student on his or her step-by-step journey to learn English language and grammar.

This is the first in a series of three workbooks for international ESL grammar students. In Workbook One, the beginning ESL student can study, learn, and practice grammar structures one page at a time. Users of this book can study a grammar point, learn it through examples of usage, and practice by completing the accompanying exercises.
